From the settings it is possible to:
- Read the device information
- Manage users
- See the devices connected to your product and their names
- Remove the device from your Freedompro profile
To access the settings:
Access your Freedompro profile
Click on the cog wheel icon of the device you want to see the settings
To go back to Freedompro Cloud dashboard click on "Return to devices"
From this area you can read all the device information and change its name.
To change the device name:
- Access the settings of the device you want
- Click on the space with the name and write the one you prefer
- Click on "Save" to complete the operation
High on the right in the browser window, you will see the notification that tells you that the name change has been done correctly.
Every user connected to the device can change the name. The device name is linked to your profile, every user sees the one he/she has set.
In this area it is possible to see all the users that have the permissions to access the device and control it with Google and Amazon smart platforms.
There are 3 user types:
Owner user: user who has paired the device to his/her Freedompro profile. A product can have just one owner and this user can manage the device and its users.
Guest user: user who have been invited to access the device, he/she has the possibility to use Google and Amazon Alexa smart home platforms to manage the connected accessories and he/she can access to the device. He/she cannot manage the product users. Every product can have as many guests as you want.
Pending user: user who have been invited to access a device but haven't accepted the invite yet.
Only the device owner can manage the users, he/she is able to:
Invite other users to access and use the device
Invite a user to access a Freedompro device means to give permission to another person to connect to the product and control the accessories linked to it through Google and Amazon Alexa smart platforms.
To send an invite:
Access your profile in the Freedompro Cloud
Enter the settings of the device you want to share
In the "Uses" section click on "Insert e-mail" and write the e-mail address of the person you want to invite
Click on "Invite"
The guest will receive an e-mail invitation with all the information about what to do to access the Freedompro Cloud and use Google and Alexa smart platforms.
A removed user will not be able to access the Freedompro devices that were shared with him/her and he/she cannot use Google and Amazon smart paltforms to manage the connected accessories.
To remove a user:
- Access the Freedompro Cloud
- Enter in the settings of the device from which you want to remove the user, clicking on the cog wheel on the right
- In the "users" section, press on the X on the icon of the user you want to remove
- Confirm your choice choosing "Yes"
In this area it is possible to see all the accessories categories with whom the Freedompro product is compatible, which ones of them are used in the plant and how many of every category are installed. The categories used has a black icon and a number on the upper right, that represents how many of them are installed in the system.
Clicking on one specific category, it is possible to see the names of the accessories of every category. You can select how many categories you want at a time, even all of them.
Remove a device
Removing a device from your Freedompro account means that you will not be able to access the device and use Google and Amazon platforms to manage the connected accessories.
If you are the device owner and you remove the device, also the guests will not be able to access anymore.
To remove a device:
- Access the Freedompro Cloud
- Enter the settings of the device you want to remove
- In the "Remove device" section click on "Remove"
- Confirm your choice, clicking on "Yes"
Once you completed the procedure, you will see you dashboard with the remaining devices, or nothing, in case you removed the only one you had connected.
